This guide also shows you how to check for updated versions of your favorite mods, either manually or by using an addon manager. These may already be in your list, or may provide some alternatives to try in the meantime. With every major patch or expansion, there's a period of catch-up for addons where many of your favorites won't work. Nor do all mods break as the result of patch changes.
Handy note addon mod#
This isn't to say your favorite mods haven't been updated, or that mod writers aren't currently working on updates. All four have been tested on the PTR and seem to be working normally. The other 4 have not been upgraded specifically, but one has two Shadowlands/PTR-specific addons, and the others are offered to fill in a few holes. 11 have been specifically updated for Shadowlands Pre-Patch 9.0.1 and have been tested as working well on the PTR. These 15 addons have been chosen from among the most popular and useful WoW mods.
